I’ll be honest with you

Getting to this point wasn’t easy

My personal journey was filled with challenges and searching for answers outside myself.

I used to be the person who avoided, overreacted, and turned to substances when triggered by past traumas. Living with chronic anxiety, migraines, and panic attacks since early childhood, I was trapped in a cycle of disconnection and avoidance, preventing me from truly discovering myself and understanding my needs.

I always wanted to be a mother (and to work with mothers and children) – but I didn’t want to pass down the generational baggage. I started healing my parent/family wounds and entered a safe and loving relationship with my now husband. We experienced an early miscarriage in early in our relationship (2013) which led me to seek support, help and figure out what was ‘wrong with me’. I received no long lasting mental or emotional support and was wrongly diagnosed with PCOS but held on to the diagnosis for many years.  



I kept searching for tools, answers to help me feel confident, connected to my body and clear in my mind…

I tried so many things and nothing was helping. I was addicted to nicotine and drank regularly, I was in a high stress and high demanding job (Social Work). In 2015, I broke my leg, quit my job and began learning Wholistic Healing modalities which led to the opening of my own business Love Today Therapy, where I offered massage therapy, energy work and coaching services to women and mothers.

 In 2018, I felt the presence of my child in my womb and carried them for 9 weeks before experiencing another loss. This loss cut deep, I connected with my child in my dreamspace and thought that because I was doing so much innerwork and healing- that this child would stay. There was so much self-blame, guilt, and self-distrust dislike that came to surface.

Two years later, I began to feel another child’s presence and felt the spiritual calling to learn how to be my own resource, develop my own inner authority and really trust who I am and love my body. 



but then

the world went in panic(demic)

Soon after confirming my pregnancy, the world shut down. I had to close my business, relocate farm animals, sell possessions, and move across the country to my parents’ home. I lost my health care, my birth plan went out the window… There was so much external fear surrounding me that honestly, it consumed me. As happy as I was to be carrying child, I equally found myself feeling really scared, overwhelmed and frustrated with the bare minimum accessible resources available for pregnant women. 

So I Took Back Control And…
